The São Paulo Motor Show is the venue for the presentation of the limited series Jeep Renegade Willys, which honors the brand that created the first vehicles of the Jeep and, more specifically, the origin of the pioneering model of 1941, made to order for the army of the States United. It will be only 250 units, based on the Trailhawk version, plus various style differentials. Like the ‘Willys’ inscriptions on the front fenders and ‘4-Wheel Drive’ on the rear cover, as was common in the ‘ancestors’ of the Jeep Renegade. And there are still the stars in the C-columns, also embroidered on the back seats of the front seats. On the handle in front of the front passenger, on the dashboard, a nameplate will indicate the numbering within the limited series. In relation to the already extensive list of standard items of the Jeep Renegade Trailhawk, the Willys edition will have the addition of the My Sky sunroof. With two removable parts, the first one also has electric opening, this ceiling is a reminder of the freedom outdoors that the brand proposes. The bodywork of the Jeep Renegade Willys will always be Green Recon, combined with several external parts with dark finish, such as wheels, emblems, grille frames and bumper and rearview mirror covers. Each customer will also get a kit consisting of unique items: Jeep Gear jacket, thermos bottle, US Army style nameplate and Jeep military jumbo can case. The launch will be in the next car covers for sale.

Historical Combatant

As Renegade Willys pays tribute to the Jeep’s military origins, there is nothing better than to show one of the most representative brave ‘soldiers’. That’s why the brand’s booth proudly demands a 1953 Jeep Willys M-38A1, the third generation of military models, started with MB and followed by the M-38. This vehicle is of enormous importance to the Jeep, as it anticipated the evolution of the civilian version, the CJ-5, which would be released in 1955 in the USA, as the hood with the rounded edges and the front wings more involving. The Jeep CJ-5 would become one of the brand’s most popular, with more than 600,000 units produced over four decades, including in Brazil – between 1957 and 1982. In addition, the M38A1 was also famous for being used in the Korean War. One of his many drivers over many years of service around the world, was Elvis Presley, who was in the US Army between 1958 and 1960 in Germany, even though he was already a music star.

2019 – JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED RUBICON

The new generation of the vehicle that best materializes the Jeep spirit debut in Brazil in style. Known also by the JL code, the New Jeep Wrangler brings even more of the unmatched off-road capability, greater use of aluminum in the body, more technology and cab connectivity and an entirely new mechanical set. All with a renovated design, but still faithful to its origins. Now, the Wrangler has the unprecedented 2.0 turbo engine with direct gasoline injection, which yields 272 hp and 400 Nm. Combined with it is a modern eight-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 traction with gearbox. The New Jeep Wrangler will be available in the first half of 2019 on the two- and four-door Unlimited, including – for the first time in the country – the Rubicon version with a series of heavy off-road upgrades.

2018 – JEEP COMPASS LONGITUDE 2.0 DIESEL 4X4

Last October the Brazilian consumer was the first in the world to receive the new Jeep Compass. Now the average SUV that has become the absolute leader of its segment – a true success story among SUVs – comes to the 2018 lineup with new versions and developments that bring even more technology, style, convenience and off-road capability. The Compass line is even more complete with the Limited Diesel setting. It arrives to be a more sophisticated alternative within the line equipped with the engine 2.0 MultiJet II, of 170 hp and 350 Nm and the transmission of nine speeds. Alongside the Compass Trailhawk, with all its vocation for off-road, this new option forms a pair of top versions. All versions powered by the 2.0-liter Tigershark Flex, up to 166 hp, received the Stop / Start system, an important advance in the field of energy efficiency. Beside the intelligent alternator and fuel pump, which work on demand only when needed, this technology made Compass Flex up to 11% more economical.

More sophistication

Another important innovation is that every Jeep Compass 2018 has compatibility with the Android Auto and Apple Carplay systems as standard, making the efficient Uconnect multimedia hub even better, which is internationally prized for the number of features and ease of use. And in the Sport version, the evolution became more visible, literally, with the current screen switching to a larger, 7.0-inch, high-definition color. The other configurations display the already established 8.4-inch monitor. The graphics have been modernized and are applied to both types of screens. And there are more new standard equipment scattered all over the Compass line: for the Sport, the air conditioner becomes two-zone digital as in other configurations. The Longitude (Flex and Diesel) versions come with leather seats, which can be in the new Ski Graycolor, an elegant light shade of gray available also for Limited options, which continues with the Caramel option in addition to Black (standard in Longitude and Trailhawk). Speaking in color, it is worth highlighting the increased options, with the introduction of the solid Green Recon, recently used in the special 75-year series of the Jeep Renegade, and the metallic Brown Horizon. Other innovations are in the list of options, with electric opening of the trunk lid for the Trailhawk and Limited versions, which can now be equipped with 19-inch wheels married to 235/45 tires – the standard ones are 18 inches paired with 225/55 tires.

National most technological SUV

Apart from all the content that debuts in the 2018 line of the Jeep Compass, the model continues to stand out as the average SUV with the highest level of technology among all manufactured in Brazil. Available for the Limited and Trailhawk versions, the High Tech package is made up of advanced items such as: Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Track Change Tracking (LDW), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Warning and Prevention (FCWP), which includes automatic braking, remote start of the engine and Park Assist semi-automatic parking system, which operates in parallel and perpendicular paths. In addition, there are noteworthy standard equipment for Compass Limited and Trailhawk, such as xenon headlamps and blind spot monitoring (which can be adjusted to give only visual, visual and audible warnings or until switched off). And in the Longitude setting the Keyless Enter ‘n’ Go presence switch is factory set.

2018 – JEEP WRANGLER 6X6 BY BRUISER CONVERSIONS

Six-wheel drive (6×6) vehicles are becoming more fashionable, with buyers being able to choose from models such as the Mercedes-AMG G 63 6×6 or the Hennessey VelociRaptor. But if none of these please the customer there is a new element in the game. It is a Jeep Wrangler modified by the Bruiser Conversions and produces impressive 480 horsepower. This model had already been presented at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, but only now the details have emerged. The first highlight is the change in the bodywork and the chassis to accommodate another axle and a rear bucket with an oak wood background. The suspension has been completely redesigned and the ground height increased. It has special wheels mounted on Mickey Thompson tires, a winch at the front, a kit of extra lights on the roof, direction-indicator lamps on the side mirrors and bumpers with steel protections. The result is a true all-terrain race car with a very aggressive look, much due to the frosted green paint that contrasts with several black details. But if the exterior impresses, the engine that hides under the hood is not behind. The factory engine of this Jeep Wrangler was replaced by a huge V8 block of General Motors origin that develops 480 hp. Bruiser Conversions has not revealed any more technical details of this proposal, but one thing is certain: few obstacles will put a brake on this Wrangler 6×6.
